Questions:
I purchased a eagle turbo flash light about a year ago and recently it completely went dead I plugged it in to charge it and the light on the charger stays green and doesn't turn red like it supposed to when charging.So is it the battery that's bad on it or the the charger?

Answer:
You can measure the output voltage of the charger, it should be 4.5-4.7V, if so, the charger is good.
You can also try to turn on the light while it is on the charger, if the charger is good, the light should work, then you know the battery went bad.

Additional notes on Li-ion Battery:

---The 2200 lithium battery does not have memory effect
---The Li-ion battery has a self discharge rate of around 1% per month, depending on the state of the charge and the storage temperature.
---There is protection circuit built in the battery to protect overcharge. It is OK to leave the light on the charger over night, although this is not recommended. When the battery voltage is too low, it may shut off. You can recharge the battery to activate it.
---The lifetime of the battery is 300-500 times of recharge. Afterward, the battery will still work, but cannot be fully charged.
---Dropping the light constantly may cause the battery protection circuit quit working, so the battery will be dead and will not take charge. ---We have 1 year warranty on the battery and charger.

My light does not charge correctly anymore, I need waggle the cord to make the indication light turn red

Indication light turns red: light is in charge.
Indication light turns green: light is either fully charged, or battery is not taking charge any more.

The correct voltage output of the charger is 4.5-4.7 volt.

It sounds like the charging port is not blocked, you can use cleaning alcohol to clean the inside, make sure it is dry when you need to plug in. If it still will not work, you can send it in for repair, the repair is free, turn around time is typically 2 weeks. Or you can buy a switch unit (which has a new switch and new charging port) http://powerledlighting.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=10_51&products_id=108 and replace it yourself. This is the section between the LED and the battery housing. It is easy to replace, just remember to keep the metal washer inside the switch unit.

Question
Can rechargeable lithium batteries other than the Sunlite batteries be used my Eagle flashlight?

Answer
Sunlite Lithium batteries are built with protection circuit. It is not recommended to use other rechargeable lithium batteries than the ones Sunlite provides (SNLG18B2, SNLG18S2)http://powerledlighting.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=10_9. It will void your warranty.

However, A 3.7V rechargeable lithium battery with both flat positive and negative contacts can be used to power Eagle flashlight.
None of the other 3.7V rechargeable lithium batteries cannot be used to power any of our Turbo model (one side switch, one tail switch) flashlights.

if you put a Turbo switch unit on a Eagle flashlight, you are not getting full power out of the light.

Questions
I own a 16WFP Eagle flashlight. I was only wondering if it is per design to leave the light plugged in to the charger when not in use. does it have a trickle charge or does the charger turn off and does not charge the light until unplugged and plugged back in. Thank you. Very satisfied customer.

The lithium does not have memory effect, you can charge it anytime, but the lifetime of the battery determined by how many times you charge the battery. Our battery is protected from overcharge, so you can leave the light On the charger, but it is not recommended.
