I'm looking for a light to mount to a camera for inspections operations and it appears that your 8WFP weapon light may do the trick however I would like to look at assembling something brighter. There are little details available on the capabilities of each component available. I'm looking for a bright tight circle of light, typically approximately 50ft away but sometimes further.
Answer
The 8WFP LED is highly focused, 50ft is not a problem for the 8WFP flashlight. You can try and see. You can send it back for refund in a month, if it does not work for your application. If you think it is not bright enough for your application, you may try 16WFP flashlight.
If you are building the light yourself, the 8WFP LED needs a input of around 4V/1.2A, the input wattage should not go over 4.2V, the input power should not go over 8W.
