Questions
i wanted an underhood led light as i am an automotive technician. i see several different ones. i know i want the led light but there are like 6 different ones to choose from. please help me choose and tell me what the differences are. thank you.

Answers
Our best selling underhood light is the 2ft long version, it is 1800 lumens,
UH2F3: is the 2ft strip with car battery clamp, $199
UH2F3AC: is the 2ft strip with AC adaptor and car battery clamp, $234
If you get UH2F3, you can always get the AC adaptor PA24-12SW later when you need it.

The 1ft underhood strip is designed to be upgradable, and with ultimate flexibility
UH1F2: is the 1ft with car battery clamp & cigarette lighter adapter, $149, you can get the AC adaptor PA24-12SW later when you need it.
you can upgrade by linking another 1ft strip (UH1F2BAR: $115),
You can slide the two strips together or pull them apart to get bright useful light exactly where it is wanted and needed.

the other listed models are the 1ft strips with different accessories. Please let us know if you need further assistance.

We have lifetime warranty on the strip and one year warranty on the AC charger, you can send it back to us directly.
Did all three LEDs go out. If so, I believe it is the constant current PCB board that had one component blow out. this usually happened when the battery surged to over 24V or overheating at the PCB. But since you said the battery is monitored, I am not sure. We have to look at it and know what had happened.

the voltage surge typically happens when

1. when you use battery clamp to power the underhood light strip and you tried to start the engine multiple times.

2. when you clamp to battery, the light strip already hooked to the battery clamp.

if your battery is monitored, it should not be the reason #1. we would recommend that you clamp the battery clamps to battery before you plug in the light strip
