Question
I purchased a under hood light SNLUH2F3 in April 2011 through a Snap On retailer that has blown out. This is the second one. The first one blew out the first week I had it. Is this product going to be covered under warranty and if it is am I going to have to go through the Snap On retailer to get it done? Also why is happening? It gets used rarely and the the battery voltage is monitored when it is. Product lighting is great but its not reliable.
answer
We have lifetime warranty on the strip and one year warranty on the AC charger, you can send it back to us directly.
Did all three LEDs go out. If so, I believe it is the constant current PCB board that had one component blow out. this usually happened when the battery surged to over 24V or overheating at the PCB. But since you said the battery is monitored, I am not sure. We have to look at it and know what had happened.
